The most popular request we had from all members was to produce a database of images next to the terms used to describe them, aswell as images of what is normal for breed, age etc.
To achieve this we need your help. Any images and videos you have that you are happy for the ADDP to use please upload them below.
What Images and Videos Do We Need?
We’re building a comprehensive reference library for Dynamic Dog Standards, and we need as many examples as possible from all breeds, ages, and life stages. Here’s what we’re looking for:
Gait Videos (from all angles, all breeds, all ages):
Walk (side, front, rear, and top views)
Trot (side, front, rear, and top views)
Canter (side, front, rear, and top views)
Conformation Photos (from all angles, all breeds, all ages):
Side view (stacked/standing)
Front view
Rear view
Top view
Puppies, adults, and seniors if possible
Daily Life & Activities (ADLs):
Sleeping/resting positions
Sitting, lying down, getting up
Eating/drinking
Playing (with toys, with other dogs, with people)
Interacting with the environment (stairs, jumping, running, etc.)
Any unique or typical breed behaviors
Other Useful Images/Videos:
Close-ups of specific anatomical features (paws, tails, ears, etc.)
Any “normal” postures or movements for the breed at different ages
Any images that help illustrate breed-specific terminology
We want as much variety as possible:
All breeds, all ages, all life stages
Both “show” and “pet” examples
Different coat types, sizes, and body conditions
Why?
We want to pair clear terminology with real images and videos, so members and clients can see what “normal” looks like for each breed and age. This will help with compliance, understanding, and education.
Please upload everything you can!
The more examples we have, the better this resource will be for everyone.
After some great feedback from Jade B – it would be a great idea if you can title anything you send by “Breed, Age, Description (Ie video / Image, angle, gait, ADL, etc) and any known health conditions.
I can also ask who ever has domain over the photos to sign a release for educational public use.
Thank you – we cannot do this without you
Also thank you to Control the Meerkat Ltd for the use of their system.
