Gemma’s methods are safe, practical, kind, up to date, ethical and evidence based. Gemma also works on vet refferal from a variety of vets across the country and she has worked with many dog resuces in aiding rehabilitation of their rehomed dogs.

She specialises in all dog behaviour cases including everything from general behaviour issues & annoyances all the way to extremem trauma & aggression based cases. Gemma works with families and their dogs holistically to ensure they recieve the best support and coaching to improve their companionship and wellbeing.

Gemma is owner & head clinical animal behaviourist & trainer for Natures Companions. Gemma has been working with dog behaviour & training since 2008, she has worked clinically with dog behaviour since 2011 and has run classes since 2012.

Gemma has vast history & experiance of working with animals since she was 16 in zoological settings to include Banham Zoo, Chester Zoo and Steve Irwins Australia Zoo. Gemma shares her life with her two sons Kobi & Neo and her dogs Drake (Labrador) & Milo (Cockerspaniel cross).

She has a BSc Hons in Animal Behaviour & Welfare from the University of Chester and an National Diploma in Animal Care and management from the Grimsby Institute. Gemma is a professionally assessed full member of the Associations of Pet behaviour Councillors (APBC) and is listed with them on the Animal Behaviour and Training Council (ABTC) register as a Clinical Animal Behaviourist . Gemma is also an assessed full member of the Professional Association of Canine Trainers (PACT) and is listed with them on the ABTC register as an Animal Training Instructor.

Gemma is also a member of the Pet Professional Network and is an approved instructor via The Dog Training College.  She is also a level 1 Dognostics Scent Games instructor.

Book Your Initial Session and Package with Gemma Below. If you live outside of Manchester, Preston, Grimsby and Halifax UK we recommend the Bronze Package as all sessions are held online. Please do not let that put you off. You get just as much support and face to face time – just virtually.

After you book an appointment and to ensure we can gather as much information about your dog as possible to make the consultation process and rehabilitation successful we will need you to fill out these documents:

*Please note no consultation can go ahead without these completed forms*

Payments can be made via Stripe. If you want to pay via BACS Bank Transfer (you need to pay the bank transfer within 48 hours of making the booking or the appointment can be cancelled) or Insurance please contact the office before booking.

 48 hours before your initial consultation a completed Vet Referral form and Questionnaire is required to be emailed to us.

Consultations can be booked only with our Clinical Animal Behaviourists. You will then also be assigned one of our awesome rehabilitation trainers who can assist you with the practical side of things during follow up and group sessions where required.
